Welcome to Rowton Barns

Rowton Barns bed and breakfast is a barn conversion on a working family farm near Shrewsbury in Shropshire. Two adjoining stone barns offer bed ten bedrooms and a superb communal area. Our relaxed and friendly “ski-chalet” style atmosphere makes us especially suited to large groups of family or friends.

Set in peaceful countryside 8/9 miles from the the centre of the historic market town of Shrewsbury we benefit from excellent road links and are just 20 minutes from the M54 motorway.

Our ten individual bedrooms include doubles and twins and are all ensuite. We also cater for families and guests with special needs. There is excellent access for mobility impaired guests with ground floor bedrooms and a dedicated bedroom with disabled access.

The whole building is heated sustainably with biomass underfloor heating fuelled by a woodchip boiler making it very cosy and welcoming! You can see our woodchip boiler through the viewing window situated in our newly built guest toilet area. We love to be green and also recycle wherever we can!

Attending a Wedding at Rowton Castle

This highly acclaimed and very popular ‘Country Wedding’ venue is next door! The Castle is just a short walk away (6-7 minutes) or if you prefer to drive it takes just a minute.

This makes us the ideal place to stay when attending a wedding or other function at the Hotel.

Many Brides and Grooms choose to reserve all rooms at Rowton Barns to accommodate their guests. Being perfect for large groups, we are a great place for the wedding party to stay on the eve of their wedding too.

Early check in is available between 12.00 mid-day and 1.00 p.m. allowing guests time to check in and change.

Visiting the Area

The Barns are also very suitable for walking or cycling groups, shooting parties and people attending other local events. Many people enjoy the relaxing and homely ambience.
